Johannesburg, South Africa - Seven people were arrested for allegedly attacking nine members of the Zion Christian Church at Makhado's Mashamba village in Limpopo on Thursday, police said.
The nine were apparently "singing, dancing and doing the ZCC dance" when they were attacked near an initiation school at the village, Superintendent Ailwei Mushavhanamadi said on Friday.
He said 10 more people were expected to be arrested later on Friday in connection with the attack.
The arrested people included a local chief, Mushavhanamadi said, adding that the seven are expected to appear in court on Friday.
